Frozen Kids
at Cactus Ranch

Students at Cactus Ranch Elementary are invited to sign up for this amazing opportunity to put on a full musical right at your school! This show will be directed by SistersAct owner and former CRE 5th grade teacher, Chantel Getz. It is a shortened version of Frozen and will run approximately 40 minutes in length.

Rehearsals will be TUESDAYS from 3:00-5:30 with two added Fridays (March 28th and April 4th). Mandatory rehearsals to participate are Friday, April 4th and Tuesday, April 8th. Both of those rehearsals are 3:00-6:00 and will be our final tech and dress rehearsals.

1) Fill Out an Audition/Conflict Form

Due by Tuesday, January 28th at 8pm!

This tells us you will be at auditions.

2) Auditions are on Friday, January 31 from 3:00-6:00. All audition information will be emailed out to you after you sign up. All students will stay the entire time.

FAQ:

Will every student get a role?: We plan to take as many students as we can into the production. With that said, if too many students audition we will try to find backstage/tech jobs for students who do not get cast.

I have a weekly conflict on Tuesdays. Can I still audition?:

 We are asking students to not miss more than two rehearsals. If you can prioritize rehearsals on Tuesdays, then you are welcome to audition. Not every student will be called to every rehearsal.  

I have a few appointments and conflicts during rehearsal times. Is that ok? Yes! Please just disclose these on your conflict sheet when you sign up so that we can work around them as best as we can. We are asking students to not miss more than two rehearsals. 

How many performances will there be? There will be two total performances. One will take place during school hours and one will be a public performance. These will be on April 11th at 9am and 7pm. ​

I've never done this before. Is this program for someone like me? Absolutely! We welcome all ability levels and can't wait to work with everyone at their current level.
